Kristina Sereikaitė is recognized as the best cinematographer at the festival "Rossia"

At the International Documentary Film Festival "Rossia" in Russia, cinematographer Kristina Sereikaitė was recognized and received award for her work in the film "Dzukija's Bull" (directed by Linas Mikuta). 

Filmmaker Linas Mikuta took part in the 24th edition of the festival, and introduced his film "Dzukija's Bull" to the audience. Lithuanian film became one of the 10 international films invited to participate in the competition program.

"The festival really surprised with its audience. Such active and curious audience could be envied by any documentary festival.  At ten o'clock in the morning on a regular weekday it is impossible to fill the house even showing the latest Hollywood blockbuster, and there - it was a shortage of places. It is nice that "Dzukija's Bull" attracted a lot of positive comments and sympathy. People asked many questions after the screening and in the evening at a press conference, led by famous Russian film critic Viktor Matizen," - director Linas Mikuta shared his impressions after returning from the festival. 

Cinematographer Kristina Sereikaitė made her successful debut in the documentary film "Lisa, go home!" (directed by Oksana Buraja), and was nominated at the Lithuanian cinema and television film Awards "Silver Crane 2013" as the best cinematographer.

The film, distributed by the studio "Monoklis" tells the story of the "Bull" - the true resident of Dzūkija. Jonas was given such nickname by the villagers due to the rumours about his incredible strength. The narrative led by the main character tells the story of people stuck in the world between degradation and holiness.
