15 – 20 October of this year, the first international documentary festival in Georgia, CinéDOC Tbilisi took place. Ten competition program films were viewed and evaluated by the Jury consisting of: the Director of the European Documentary Network Paul Pauwels, Consultant of numerous documentary film festivals Tue Steen Mueller, and film critic and programming director of the Russian International Documentary Film Festival Art-DOC Fest, Victoria Belopolskaya.

By their decision, the main festival prize went to the documentary film "Igrushki" by Lina Lužytė, which has also been nominated for this year's "Sidabrinė gervė" (Silver Crane) Lithuanian film industry award in the Best Documentary category. "Igrushki" tells about people of Belarus city Zhlobin living under the regime which completely disregards people, but every day they are fighting for their right to be happy.

The jury based its decision with these words:  "This documentary is set in an environment where democracy is still a much coveted good and day by day, people struggle to build a decent living. (...) The documentary is set in a place where time seems to have stopped and created an own and very special universe. The jury appreciated very much the extraordinary cinematic style, the author’s eye for detail and the compelling storytelling that turns every sequence into a story of its own. The jury also appreciated the respect – even the love – with which the main characters are presented."

Lina Lužytė's documentary film "Igrushki" was shown in Lithuania for the first time in November 2012, during the European Film Forum Scanorama, and its international premiere took place in Germany, in Wiesbaden, at goEast - Festival of Central and Eastern European Film.  Later, the film was included in the programs of “Kino pavasaris”, Kaunas International Film Festival, Vilnius Documentary Film Festival, Krakow Film Festival in Poland, the American Documentary Film Festival, Ischia Film Festival in Italy, dokumentART – European Festival for Documentaries in Germany, and the Astra Film Festival in Romania.
