MEDIA Programme Office congratulates the Tremora studio: the name of Lithuania will feature in Cannes Film Festival also this year
The 70th anniversary of the MEDIA Office newsletter is a perfect opportunity to talk about the 60th anniversary of Cannes Film Festival. Especially because the name of will be pronounced with true solemnity in the capital of cinema which will be situated in French Riviera in May.
Therefore, I would like to celebrate this fact and congratulate the Tremora studio, the scriptwriter and director Saulius Drunga whose script Anarchoja in Žirmūnai was elected the best among almost 30 short listed European projects and awarded the New Talent in the European Union prize. The Commissioner for Information Society and Media Viviane Reding will award this honourable prize in the evening of May 25 in the presence of Culture and Audiovisual Ministers from the EU member states to the Lithuanian director. Hurra!

Besides, having in mind that perhaps already in August (the last date for sending applications this year) Lithuanian film professionals will be able to apply for funding from the EURIMAGE Fund (support for production), representatives of the foundation invite to meet on the MEDIA stand (Cannes Film Fair).
