A joint Lithuanian-British documentary about Lithuania’s preparations for defence and the experience of the first Lithuanian conscript volunteers, “Waiting for Invasion”. “We made the film primarily for the foreign audiences who know little of Russia’s real threat to Lithuania and are not familiar with our history. Therefore, together with the team, we sought to present all this using international film language. We have used personal stories of the first volunteers”, – says Neringa Medutytė. International Lithuanian and British crew of the film collected material from the Lithuanian Grand Duke Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion in Klaipėda, where they spent nine months. During these months, experiences of the first conscript volunteers, Stasys Vasiliauskas and Aironas Babkauskas, were captured first-hand.
