The Lease

90 min.  –  Feature film  –  90 min., color, 35mm  –  2002 ,   STUDIO ULJANA KIM

After a catastrophe in her personal life, a forty year old woman is trying to find her own place in life, not to give in to the pressure of unfavorable circumstances. It’s a period in her life that could be qualified as life on the verge of a breakdown. Her life is like a mirror of post-soviet society. For most people in Lithuania historical events (restored independence) brought crisis in their personal lives. External freedom does not necessarily bring inner freedom.
