Audiovisual Arts Incubator invites residents
The first in Lithuania Audiovisual Arts Industry Incubator (AMII) that opened its doors near Vilnius in February is already enjoying eight resident companies situated therein. Founders of these companies are young creators of audiovisual arts. AMII Residents can use on preferential terms professional AMII video and audio equipment and specialized facilities - surround sound mixing studio, synchronous noise and dialogue recording studio, video and audio post-production and computer graphics stations. Using the AMII equipment, residents of the company UAB “Animatrix” have already filmed full-length international production film "The Big Talkers".
AMII can take up to 12 resident companies. Candidates for the residents can find the application form on the website www.amiincubator.com. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
One of the main AMII activities - organizing trainings for young professionals. In September - October of this year, at AMII, international residencies project will take place, partly funded by the Ministry of Culture. We will invite to the project young artists from the Nordic and Baltic countries to work together - to make a documentary film about Vilnius.
At the Audiovisual Arts Industry Incubator, courses by the European cinema masters for students of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre are already taking place. Hungarian film editor Kollanyi Tamas conducted seminars on the topic - "Peculiarities of modern editing", and Polish director Wiktor Grodecki introduced students to the particularities of the cinematographer's work.
