K. Buožytė's fiction feature film "Vanishing Waves" (Lith. - "Aurora") will participate in the 35th International Moscow Film Festival. This A or Top-class festival will be held 20-29 June.

Lithuanian film will be shown out of competition program of the festival, named "Sex, Food, Culture, Death".

"Festival's culturological program provocatively called “Sex, Food, Culture, Death” is an innovative search for fresh tendencies, phenomena, events in world cinema. Though the program “food” is now present at all festivals following the example set by Berlin, where they started screening movies about cooking, and the sex subdivision exists at literally all festivals,...,"- said the festival program director, famous culturologist and film critic Kirill Razlogov while presenting the films.

The film will be presented at the festival by the producer Ieva Norvilienė, director Kristina Buožytė and actress Jurga Jutaitė.  Presentation of the film at the Moscow Film Festival is partially funded by the Lithuanian Film Centre.

"We are pleased that the film which has travelled dozens of international film festivals and won over 20 different awards, will participate in already the third A-class festival over the course of one year," - says the film's producer Ieva Norvilienė.

The film "Vanishing Waves" was produced by the independent Lithuanian film production company TREMORA together with ACAJOU FILMS (France) and LES FILMS DU CINEMA (Belgium).  The film production was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Cinema Support Fund Eurimages and the European Union MEDIA programme, which supports the audiovisual sector.
