"Non-Euclidean Geometry" was awarded a prize in the famous Short Film Festival in Oberhausen
Having just received the
International Short Film Festival Oberhausen () is one of the oldest and most important short film festivals in the world, distinguished by its broad approach to the moving image, the art of film, its interdisciplinary approach and the latest trends.
"In my opinion, this award is particularly suitable for "Non-Euclidean Geometry", because the whole intention of the ecumenical jury is based on the logic of the heart, same as our film. On the other hand - I am pleasantly stunned that our silent film sounded so loud in such rich, diverse context, as was the context of the Oberhausen Film Festival," - says the script writer and director Solveiga Masteikaitė.
"The festival fascinated by its ambience, artistic quality of films, attention to the children and adolescent cinema," - rejoiced the director and artist Skirmanta Jakaitė who is touring festivals already with her second animated film.

In May, the film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival, in the Short Film Corner section (represented by the agency "Lithuanian Shorts"); in June, it will be displayed in prestigious international animation festivals:
Lithuanian viewers will be able to see the film again in the travelling Summer Film Festival "Silver Crane Nights", which will travel throughout the summer to different Lithuanian towns.
