After the premiere, “The River” goes to the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film

On 3 October at 1 p.m. Forum Cinemas ( Vilnius ) will launch the premiere of The River, a documentary film directed by Rimantas Gruodis and Julija Gruodienė (Auditorium 12). The 30-minutes-long film was produced by its director’s studio Periferija.

 

The film tells about life in a remote village along a river. The river is the only road connecting people to the external world. It is a road for the main characters of the film – the children who cross the river every morning to travel to their school.

 

The River has been invited to participate in one of the most famous cinema forums, the 52nd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, which will take place from October 26 to November 1. On 1 – 7 November the film will participate in the international competition programme of the Florence Film Festival.
