A Lithuanian Animated Film "Bridge" among the Winners of Gold Panda in China

The 10^th Sichuan TV Festival International ‘Gold Panda’ Awards ceremony took place on November 6 – 8. A Lithuanian animated film Bridge (directed by Ieva Miškinytė) won a Gold Panda for the best student film.

Around 3.5 thousand films from 62 different countries and regions competed during the festival divided into five programmes: documentary films, animated films, new media, student films and a special programme of films about natural disasters.

The film Bridge is a graduation diploma work by a young director Ieva Miškinytė created at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. The film has successfully travelled around many international animation, film and visual arts festivals in various countries. In October this year the film was awarded a diploma for an “original philosophical take on the world” at the XII Animayovka International Animated Festival (). In , Bridge was awarded a diploma “for the visual solution” at the 5^th International Animation Film Festival in Vilnius Tindirindis in 2007.
